Mark & Devon Piatt – Owners
Devon Piatt graduated from Oklahoma State University and started her dog training career with Off Leash K9 Training in 2018. Since then, her love for dogs and helping families has only grown stronger. She believes that training isn’t just about obedience — it’s about creating a better bond and making life together more enjoyable.
Mark Piatt also graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Applied Exercise Science. In 2020, he began training dogs and quickly found his passion in working with both dogs and their families. With his background in exercise science and years of coaching experience, Mark brings a hands-on, practical approach to training that focuses on structure, consistency, and communication.
Together, Mark and Devon are dedicated to helping dogs become well-mannered, confident, and reliable companions. At home, life is full with their two Border Collies and two kids, who all love being part of the adventure.
Christine - Trainer
Christine San Miguel has been a dog trainer with Off Leash K9 Training in San Antonio since 2020, helping people understand their dogs—and sometimes helping dogs understand their humans. Her goal is simple: better communication, better behavior, and a happier life together (with fewer chewed shoes).
Before becoming a dog trainer, Christine worked in speech and behavioral therapy. That background gives her a sharp eye for patterns, a strong foundation in goal-setting, and a deep understanding of what makes both kids and canines tick. She uses that experience to create personalized training plans that fit each family’s unique learning style—because no two dogs (or owners) are the same.
At home, Christine is often being outsmarted by her own American Staffordshire Terrier, who keeps her humble on a daily basis. When she’s not training, she loves staying active, eating healthy, and keeping her life as balanced as possible—much like she does with her dog, who admittedly runs the show from time to time.
